Sign up to run a Celebrating Black History drop down day!
We have designed all the materials you need to run an off-timetable day for 11-16 year olds on the theme Celebrating Black History. The day will encourage young people to think about Black History Month, and how and why it celebrates and centres Black history. Students will critically consider questions of identity and representation. Students will then have the opportunity to expand on the theme of activism and choosing to act, considering how they have the power to impact others and shape their communities through their choices and actions.s
Our materials are aimed at educators who are looking for ways to invigorate their RSE, PSHE and Citizenship curriculums as well as schools looking for enrichment and personal development opportunities for their students.
The content in this drop down day can also be taught as a series of separate sessions if that suits your school’s timetable better.
Please register your interest and we will send you the details to access and download all the materials after this date.
The actual date you choose to deliver this content is up to you. We recommend running this drop down day during Black History Month, but it can be delivered all year round.
Please note this drop down day is available for UK educators only.
