Books & Borrowing

Find the resources you need here in our lending library and store.

Notice: Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, Facing History and Ourselves library service has been impacted. The Facing History lending library is currently unable to fulfill orders. We are very sorry for the inconvenience. We look forward to restoring service as soon as we are safely able to do so.

In the meantime, we have a lot of great digital content and hundreds of streaming educational videos. Please email us at [email protected] if you need recommendations for specific material.

Who is eligible to borrow from the Facing History Library?

We offer loans of library resources, free of charge, to individuals in the United States or Canada who have completed one of Facing History’s face-to face or online professional development workshops, seminars or courses. Each teacher borrows under his or her own name, not through their school or institution. Not sure if you qualify? Please contact the library at [email protected].

Check the “Exclude ‘Borrow’ Resources” box if you only want to see Facing History’s original publications, available in print, ebook, and free PDF.
