Holocaust Remembrance Day: Exploring Memory and Legacy

This year, Yom HaShoah (Holocaust Remembrance Day) will be observed on May 2. Join us as we consider short films, lesson ideas, and poetry through which students can engage with this history. Learn about our Holocaust and Human Behavior one-week unit outline, and discover how to teach this history through themes of decision making, ethics, and responsibility.

In this webinar, we will:

  • Explore the legacy of the Nuremberg trials, and consider what it means to be a “watcher of the sky” in today’s world

  • Interpret the various ways of memorializing events and people, and what it means to remember

  • Share Holocaust and Human Behavior one-week unit outline, a multimedia- and resource-rich one-week unit on Holocaust history

This webinar is from 3pm–4pm ET. If this time does not work for your schedule, be sure to register and we’ll let you know when the recording is posted in our On-Demand Learning Center.
