Join Facing History and Ourselves for an introduction to the teaching resource The Nanjing Atrocities: Crimes of War and Facing History’s pedagogical approach to teaching this important, but often overlooked history.

During this webinar you will have an opportunity to:

  • See how primary sources, videos, and readings from The Nanjing Atrocities resource can be used to teach this history.

  • Explore interactive timelines on Sutori, including text, video, audio, and collaborative social features for teaching about World War II in East Asia.

  • See how Facing History’s pedagogical approach can be used to help frame and guide students through the study of difficult and complex history involving mass violence.

  • Meet and interact with other Facing History teachers from various backgrounds and educational settings interested in teaching this history.

This webinar will run from 8-9am EST. In an effort to support educators in different time zones, the same webinar will also run on November 30 from 3-4pm US EST
