Survivors and Witnesses: Using Survivor Testimony in the Classroom

The experience of listening to a survivor, rescuer, or witness to the Holocaust can be a powerful learning experience. How do we prepare adolescents to watch, listen, and learn from these powerful stories in a reflective classroom environment? Facing History and Ourselves, in partnership with the USC Shoah Foundation, has selected stories of survivors, rescuers, and witnesses to the Holocaust that complement the print and digital editions of Facing History and Ourselves: Holocaust and Human Behavior

Join Facing History’s Director of Program Technology Deb Chad and USC Shoah Senior Content Specialist/Trainer Lesly Culp of the USC Shoah Foundation – The Institute for Visual History and Education to learn about our new testimony collection and the IWitness educational platform, as well as strategies for using survivor testimony in the classroom. This event will take place at 7pm EST.
