How do you maintain a civil society? In our one-day workshop you’ll walk away with the tools and resources you need to help young people answer this important question. We’ll provide you with an eight lesson sequence about promoting civil society and seven tools needed to maintain it. You’ll also hear a keynote address from Lynn Davies, a leading scholar in education against extremism and emeritus professor at Birmingham University.

This workshop will help you meet your requirements under the Prevent agenda while challenging your students to think critically about themes of identity, belonging, and nonviolent means for change.

This workshop will be of interest to senior leaders who oversee Prevent, along with citizenship teachers, and teachers of PSHE, RE, history, and English.
