These past five months have been difficult. In the midst of a global pandemic, which has closed schools, taken lives, and disrupted life as we know it, protests have erupted in response to the brutal impacts of systemic racism. Much of what has occurred has been hard to process for adults and children alike. As we start the school year, it is important to take stock of these social issues, and to give students the opportunity to process and reflect on their feelings and experiences.
