With Swastika Vandalism on Rise, Teachers Urged to Combat Racism, Anti-Semitism, White Nationalism

With swastikas and other symbols of hate regularly showing up in local schools, teachers must talk to their students about the rise of white nationalism and the dangers of falling prey to false arguments about race. "These conversations are not comfortable — that's a fact," said Juan Castellanos, associate program director for the New York office of Facing History and Ourselves.
