All Community Read
We have selected Judith Heumann’s memoir, Being Heumann: An Unrepentant Memoir of a Disability Rights Activist, and its companion young adult adaptation, Rolling Warrior, as the texts for our All Community Read. Throughout the year, we will be hosting events and sharing resources that will support educators as they bring Heumann’s story into their classrooms.
“This is the most useful, inspiring, and empowering workshop I have ever taken. The positive energy and support of the facilitators empowered me to use my voice.”
