In his recently published book, Witness: Lessons From Elie Wiesel’s Classroom, Ariel Burger intimately re-introduces readers to Elie Wiesel as a mentor and friend, transcending the more well-known persona of the author. As Wiesel’s Teaching Assistant at Boston University, Burger has a rare perspective on Wiesel as an educator.
In this conversation with Dr. Burger, we will discuss his experiences with Wiesel as Wiesel showed his students and readers what it meant to truly listen to another human being. We’ll explore what happened when words failed Wiesel and learn how he supported his students who had their own difficult pasts.
This webinar is from 4 pm- 5pm ET.
