Produced in 1945, this film was first broadcast in 1985 on the 40th anniversary of the liberation of the Nazi death camps. It includes scenes of gas chambers, crematoria and starving, haunted survivors. Graphic; not recommended for younger viewers.
The Gurs Internment camp in southwest France, where Jewish refugees and political refugees were imprisoned. The French government interned thousands of German Jewish refugees at Gurs. German forces later deported many of these prisoners to the death camps.
