Facing History’s Memphis director Marti Tippens Murphy and intern Lamisa Hasan, both Rhodes College alumni, are working together to complete the Memphis Mural Project. The “Upstander’s Mural” will memorialize several Memphis citizens and groups who have helped make the town what it is today.
Rhodes Magazine’s Lynn Conlee featured both Murphy and Hasan in a recent article. “Through each step in the process, Hasan has been there, working with the mural steering committee, monitoring the nomination process, and assisting . . . Murphy with the project.”
