In the second session of the Global Summit on Repair, Reconstruction, and Restoration, speakers discuss South Africa’s Truth and Reconciliation Commission, including its strengths, limitations, and legacies. This learning opportunity breaks down into two parts.
- Dylan Wray, Nomfundo Mogapi, Sihle Nontshokweni, and Max du Preez discuss South Africa’s Truth and Reconciliation Commission (TRC). The TRC was not the first truth commission, but its impact is arguably more significant than any other. In this session we learn more about the TRC and its strengths, limitations, and legacies.
- Themba Lonzi gives a musical performance reflecting on the themes discussed earlier in the session.
