In this workshop, you will:

  1. Explore new Facing History C3-style inquiries from our “Democracy and Freedom” collection created for US History 

  2. Explore newly revised Facing History lessons to teach the Armenian Genocide

  3. Consider the connections between media literacy skills and the strength of democracies

Come take part in a unique learning day for Network 14 educators. Together we will explore Facing History’s new resources to support high quality, inquiry-based social studies instruction for US History and World Studies. We will also highlight the newly released Media Literacy for Critical Thinking and Democracy unit. 

This workshop is intended for Chicago Public School World Studies and US History educators in Network 14. A light breakfast and lunch will be provided.
