About this Leadership Workshop:
Whether you are seeking innovative and research-backed teaching materials or looking for a time-tested professional learning partner for your staff, we have a program that will fit your needs. Our proven approach is both academically rigorous and emotionally engaging. Backed by a prodigious Board of Scholars and nearly 50 years of impact data on student learning and engagement, and educator professional learning evaluations indicate that Facing History teachers are more satisfied in the profession and demonstrate greater self-efficacy in creating student-centered classrooms than their peers.
In recent years, more and more Middle Tennessee schools have been participating in Facing History professional learning and successfully integrating our SEL classroom strategies and implementing our Civic education resources, in addition to offering our TDOE-approved Special Elective The Holocaust and Human Behavior and our Community Matters Advisory curriculum. We envision growing our partnerships so that more schools across middle Tennessee can benefit from the proven outcomes of Facing History & Ourselves’ programs.
At the end of this experience, school leaders will leave with:
- A dedicated staff contact from Facing History to help explore possible partnership and program opportunities.
- A deeper understanding of our industry-leading resources that can help you enhance student outcomes and engagement, improve teacher efficacy, and build positive school culture.
- Access to high quality teaching materials that promote civic skills, prosocial behavior and academic success.
We are thrilled to partner with The Land Trust for Tennessee for this event. Glen Leven Farm is a historic farm located just four miles from the center of downtown Nashville.
