Join us for the first in an exciting new series designed to provide renewal and restoration for teachers. In light of the many recent challenges facing educators – and understanding that teachers need space to breathe and take care of themselves – these workshops aim to leave participants feeling refreshed and refueled, and to provide them with tools for grounding and inspiration to carry with them into their daily lives.
The first workshop will be led by poet, theologian, and Poetry Unbound host Pádraig Ó Tuama, who will provide a rich and contemplative experience based in poetry. He will share and reflect on several poems from his new book, Poetry Unbound: 50 Poems to Open Your World, and participants will also be invited to take part in reflective writing exercises themselves. All workshop participants, as well as members of the community, are invited to join a reading immediately following the workshop, in which Ó Tuama will share his acclaimed poetry. This event is directed towards educators in the New England region, but everyone is welcome to apply.
At the event, workshop participants will also be invited to enter a giveaway for Ó Tuama’s new book, Poetry Unbound: 50 Poems to Open Your World.
This event is the first in an exciting new series designed to provide renewal and restoration for teachers. The second event in the series occurs on May 3, 2023 from 4-5PM EDT.
