Religion in the Workplace with Professor Binna Kandola and Facing History
Facing History is partnering with Pearn Kandola and Brown Rudnick LLP to host an evening for all those who are passionate about inclusion in the workplace. Much emphasis has been placed, and rightly so, in recent times on racial and gender inclusivity - but an area that's often overlooked is religious inclusion.
Pearn Kandola’s 'Religion at Work' research project aims to address this issue by raising awareness around employee experiences of expressing religious identity at work. The research also provides practical and tangible ways that employers can make sure employees feel comfortable and supported in expressing this aspect of their identity.
Facing History’s work in schools is focussed on creating a more inclusive and empathetic society, and this includes educating young people to be more informed about and able to connect to those with differing religious beliefs from their own.
Join us and learn more about this important research and recommendations from Prof. Binna Kandola. Hear how organisations can create an inclusive culture, and how - by working together from education through to employment - we can make our workplaces and communities more inclusive and connected.
This event will occur in-person.
