Young people are bombarded with information, misinformation and disinformation, especially via social media. Without the skills to distinguish credible information from false, misleading, or fabricated content, they are more likely to become radicalised and/or engage in acts of bigotry and hate. To protect our democracies, we need to educate young people in a way that builds their media literacy, civic agency, curiosity, and critical thinking skills, so they can navigate the digital world confidently and responsibly.

Join us for a one-hour webinar to explore our new unit, News Literacy in a Digital Age, which helps young people reflect on how they consume, share and act on digital content and the impact that misinformation and disinformation can have on them, others and our democracy.

This event is for teachers in the UK.
