In this one-day workshop you will:

Experience Facing History’s approach to professional learning and pedagogy by engaging in classroom-ready lessons and units designed to foster civil discourse and discussions of challenging history.

Facing History & Ourselves has the innovative and research backed teaching materials and time-tested professional learning to make your vision a reality.
School teams of administrators, instructional coaches, and teacher leaders are invited to experience Facing History’s approach to professional learning, student-centered teaching, and schoolwide partnerships—grounded in principles that transform school culture, deepen academic engagement, and foster belonging for every student and educator. In this workshop, you will explore our pedagogy, consider practical strategies to meet your school’s goals, and discover how we can partner with you to create vibrant, inclusive learning communities.
Who Should Attend:
We recommend districts or schools register a team of three people. Teams may include:
- Superintendent or associate superintendent, chief instructional officer, assistant superintendent of academics, or someone with a similar position.
- District-level social science curriculum coordinator or instructional coach.
- Principal, assistant principal, or school-level curriculum leader.
