Facing History & Ourselves invites you to Meet The Moment at the 2025 Chicago Benefit as we reflect on this pivotal moment in our nation’s history.

Facing History currently supports more than 21,000 teachers in Chicago, who are working every day to uphold our democracy by preparing the next generation to build more civil and just communities based on knowledge and compassion. Now, we have the opportunity to expand our partnership with Chicago Public Schools and  reach new students across the country with our District Curriculum Partnerships.

Join us  for a conversation with friend of Facing History and New York Times bestselling author Clint Smith, whose award-winning nonfiction and poetry illuminates hard histories and the possibility of reconciliation and healing in the wake of division.

This event is an exciting opportunity to come together and learn how your investment can make a measurable difference in our classrooms, empowering students to take meaningful action and stand up to bigotry and hate.
