Over the last few years we’ve heard from teachers, administrators, and other education leaders that building a safe and inclusive school community is a top-priority. But we know that for most school leaders, juggling the day-in and day-out demands can make this important work feel daunting.

So we’ve created a space where leaders like you can intentionally take time to work through your current challenges and make space for learning and conversation.

Together we will strengthen your professional capacity for instructional leadership and school culture management, while also helping you build new connections with other leaders from around the country.

Frank Stebbins

Senior Program Associate

Speaker for all events: Frank Stebbins is a Senior Program Associate, School and District Lead at Facing History. Frank facilitates professional development, and is a member of teams focusing on school-wide program development, Holocaust and Genocide scholarship, and Teaching for Equity and Justice. Before joining the Facing History team, he was a New Jersey educator for 17 years.

Eileen McLaughlin

Superintendent of the Catholic Schools in the Archdiocese of Boston

Eileen McLaughlin became the Superintendent of Catholic Schools in the Archdiocese of Boston in June 2024 after over 25 years of experience in academia in Boston. Eileen is a product of Boston Catholic schools and spent much of her professional life in this same environment. For over a decade, McLaughlin was a middle and high school classroom teacher before moving on to school leadership for another decade. Prior to moving into the role of Superintendent, Eileen served as a Leadership Coach at Boston College's Lynch Leadership Academy.

McLaughlin earned her undergraduate degree in 1998 from Boston College School of Education and went on to earn her Master of Arts, Teaching from Emmanuel College in 2003.

Jennifer Jaso

Nonprofit Co-founder and Executive Board Member, Florida Council for History Education

Jennifer Jaso teaches history at Sarasota Middle School. Her 20 years of experience include Montessori, Gifted, Title I, and virtual learning. She holds a doctorate in Teaching and Learning with a concentration in American history. Jennifer is the 2022 Sarasota District Teacher of the Year and a Top-five State Finalist for Florida Teacher of the Year in 2023. She is the district coordinator for National History Day and a co-founder of Florida Council for History Education, a nonprofit dedicated to the advocacy of history in education. She is committed to cultivating life-long learners who appreciate the past through research, inquiry, corroboration, and project-based learning.
