Chicago Public Schools World Studies Unit Plan

This resource is for teachers participating in the Chicago Public Schools Social Science 3.0 PD Academy.

It is a part of a pilot to guide planning of a 5- week Facing History Unit in the 2014-2015 School Year. Please login/register to access.

This unit is designed for a high school audience. If you teach middle school, Facing History and Ourselves recommends that you consider age appropriate resources. For further background and additional primary source texts, refer to the resource book Facing History and Ourselves: Holocaust and Human Behavior. Many of the resources described in this unit are only available to teachers who have attended qualifying Professional Development and are a part of the Facing History Educator Network. This gives you access to all of our educator resources, including teaching strategies, resource collections, lessons and units, a lending library that includes class sets of books, and streaming videos.

Please contact the Chicago office of Facing History and Ourselves with any questions [email protected] or 312-726-4500.
