Join us for a webinar exploring Facing History’s Standing Up for Democracy resource, and how it can be used in PSHE and SMSC lessons.


Featuring useful teaching strategies, this 15-lesson series encourages students to explore questions of obligation, prejudice, and belonging; consider the importance of protecting human rights; reflect upon the values that are critical to a respectful, multicultural society; and be inspired to stand up for our democracy.


We will:

  • Explore identity, social contracts, and our obligations to others

  • Highlight teaching resources that accompany these fully planned lessons

  • Model teaching strategies to foster students’ critical thinking and opportunities for reflection
