*Audience: All educators and staff in the Ohio region and surrounding states*
As schools begin to return with a range of possible models of learning, it is crucial to begin by focusing on students' social and emotional needs, building relationships, and nurturing community. Join us as we provide tools and strategies to help classroom educators create engaging and resilient classrooms as they return to school this fall. Given the uncertainty students will face as they return including the potential for additional outbreaks of the virus, ongoing trauma triggered by the murders of Black men and women and the resulting protests and discussion of systemic racism, and a divisive election in November, committing yourself to fostering a reflective and brave community centered around nurturing relationships and educator and student social-emotional needs has never felt more urgent. Join Facing History and Ourselves' Cleveland office as we explore tools and strategies to help educators build a resilient community as students return this fall.
