Stolen Lives: Educator Workshop

Join us as we continue to explore Facing History’s new Canadian resource, Stolen Lives: The Indigenous Peoples of Canada and the Indian Residential Schools

The teaching approach and strategies shared at this workshop will help educators bring primary source accounts of the Residential School System into the classroom. Participants will also delve into the chapter in Stolen Lives, which examines the concept of genocide and how it applies to the colonial policies that these schools embodied. The workshop will highlight teaching strategies that bring today’s conversations about legacy, apology, and reconciliation into the classroom.

Educators who attended our workshop on December 6 are encouraged to participate. We will cover new content in this workshop.

All new participants will receive a free copy of the book.

This workshop is now FULL.  New Registrations will be wait-listed and applicants contacted as/if space becomes available.
