Facing History Upstander Celebration & Community Conversation

Join us for our annual Facing History Upstander Celebration and Community Conversation, presented by Facing History and Ourselves and The Allstate Foundation, as we proudly amplify the efforts of young people across Los Angeles who have spoken up against injustices of all sizes.

Featured speaker, Emiliana Guereca, Co-Founder of the Women’s March Los Angeles, will join us as we celebrate the students who have been nominated by their own school communities because they choose to be civically engaged leaders who lend their voices to contemporary issues..

The annual Facing History Upstander Celebration gathers hundreds of students, teachers, administrators and parents from our Los Angeles Partnership Schools, a network of middle and high schools in which Facing History themes extend beyond the classroom to visibly impact whole school culture.
