Community Conversation and Student Upstander Celebration

Join us for a Community Conversation and year-end celebration of Facing History Los Angeles' Partnership Schools. We are honored and excited to feature Anthony Chavez, grandson of legendary farm worker, labor leader, and civil rights activist Cesar Chavez. Anthony will share the legacy of his grandfather's work, including his own personal journey to becoming an upstander. We will also recognize the 2015 Upstander Award-winning students from our Partnership Schools.

This event is presented by Facing History and Ourselves and The Allstate Foundation. Over the past ten years, Facing History and Ourselves and The Allstate Foundation have hosted over 100 Community Conversations in ten cities, engaging more than 70,000 teachers, parents, and community members in meaningful dialogue about today's most profound issues, including respecting diversity, promoting tolerance, and creating social change.
