Gillian Smith, Principal of the Facing History School

Gillian Smith, principal of the Facing History school, speaks at the 2005 New York benefit dinner.  She recounts her experiences as a student and a teacher in the New York City schools.  Facing History gave her the resources and the pedagogy to make school personal for her students.  As a principal, the relationship with and support of Facing History help her build a community of students, parents and teachers.
