Creating Safe and Engaging Schools

Creating Safe and Engaging Schools

This month we are proud to feature A Guide to the Film "Bully": Fostering Empathy and Action in Schools, which we have written to accompany the documentary, "Bully." In addition, we are running a series of online workshops to help prepare teachers and students to see this important film. As you address issues of bullying and ostracism in your school or community, please know that Facing History has created an online module on bullying that delves deeply into one such case study. We welcome you to explore all of these resources.

For Our Network Teachers

View Let's Get Real to examine issues that lead to taunting and bullying in middle schools, and how it feels for both those who are bullied and the bullies themselves.

Borrow The In Group to reflect on how the need to belong affected how one student treated a peer, or watch the video online.

Watch Growing Up Online to explore the world of young people on the Internet, from social networking to virtual identity to web video, and find related resources on the Frontline website.
