Theresienstadt, a former fortress town, was originally designed for 7,000 inhabitants. During World War II, it served as ghetto and transit camp for as many as 60,000 people. It was to Theresienstadt that many of Europe's artists and intellectuals were sent, and it was this ghetto that was "prepared" by the Germans for the Red Cross to see. This film contains photos, paintings, drawings, poetry, and interviews with some of the 100 survivors who were in Theresienstadt as children.
