(CNN, March 11, 2008) Former attorney general Lord Goldsmith proposed to have school children say an oath of allegiance and create a holiday to celebrate being British to Prime Minister Brown, in "Brown Mulls UK Oath of Allegiance Plan" because he thinks it is important to strengthen British identity.
