Over a hundred years ago, some US communities forced black residents to leave their homes in order to make their communities all white. The film Banished [2] looks at this hidden history of ethnic cleansing and tells the story of black descendants of those exiled as they attempt to seek justice and better understand this episode in American history. The film will air on PBS February 19, 2008.
