Benefit Dinners offer opportunities for supporters to learn how Facing History impacts teachers and their students. Previous keynote speakers at benefits have included Senator Barack Obama, Kofi Annan, former Secretary General of the United Nations, NPR journalist Scott Simon, Pulitzer-prize winning author Samantha Power, and Lt. Gen. (Ret.) Romeo Dallaire, former Force Commander of the United Nations Assistance Mission in Rwanda. Benefit Dinners are held in Boston, Cleveland, Chicago, Los Angeles, Memphis, New York City, and the San Francisco Bay Area.
