Women’s Foundation for a Greater Memphis Honors Facing History Director

Facing History and Ourselves celebrates Rachel Shankman, senior director of the Memphis, Tennessee, Facing History office for her selection as a 2012 Legends Award-winner. The Women’s Foundation for a Greater Memphis presents the annual award, which honors women who demonstrate outstanding achievement, community commitment, and exemplary leadership. Shankman is one of only six women to be honored at this year’s Legends Award Reception on April 16, 2013.

Since its inception in 2009, the Legends Award celebrates women whose visionary and innovative work is paramount in their specialized areas of service and philanthropy.
