Responding to Violence in London and Other Cities
It is painful to watch the violence taking place across London and other surrounding cities. To some members of the Facing History and Ourselves community, these are your neighbourhoods, your high streets, where you teach, where you live, where you work, and where your kids go to school. Across the globe, we know that discussing the events of this week will be part of the hard work that greets our teachers as they return in September, and we will be here to support you.
Along with the Not in Our Town resource referenced below, an inspiring UK equivalent are the recent articles about citizen volunteers rushing to clean up their communities. Michael McIntyre, our UK programme coordinator, is keeping us abreast of the news as it changes.
