Facing History Listed in Top 100 Performing U.S. Nonprofits

November 20, 2012

The Social Impact 100 Index has listed Facing History and Ourselves as one of the high-impact nonprofits operating in the United States today. The Social Impact 100 Index is a first-of-its-kind list that aggregates and tracks evidence-based, high-impact nonprofit organizations in the same way as the S&P 500 tracks the profitability of large-cap companies.

Facing History is one of 100 selected nonprofits that address the country’s most pressing issues in education, health, youth, and poverty. Each of the 100 organizations is rigorously screened for proof of impact and is only included in the Index if it has the ability to expand and serve more people in need.

"One of the few organizations reaching youth during their crucial adolescent years, Facing History supports the development of social and emotional learning by integrating the rigorous investigation of history with critical questions about ethics and civic engagement," reads a quote included on Facing History's profile on the Social Impact 100 Index.
