Facing History and Ourselves has a strong and growing partnership with the Chicago Public Schools (CPS) to support the district’s academic goals. The partnership includes training eighth grade teachers across the district in Facing History’s Choices in Little Rock case study and ninth grade teachers in the organization’s Holocaust and Human Behavior case study. Choices in Little Rock, our unit on the turbulent integration of Little Rock, Arkansas’ Central High School in 1957, explores the decisions people make as citizens in a democracy. Facing History and Ourselves: Holocaust and Human Behavior examines the events leading up to the Holocaust.
