Faces of Facing History Featured in “DuJour” Magazine
Fashion magazine DuJour captured the magic in the room as Facing History and Ourselves and friends celebrated at an opening gala event for Choosing to Participate, Facing History’s traveling exhibition on display at the Chicago Public Library, Harold Washington Center, through November 11, 2012. The exhibition examines the impact and history of racism and injustice, and looks at the courageous choices people made in history and continue to make today to build strong and inclusive communities.
Among those in attendance was the Honorary Chair of the exhibit, Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel. The event drew over 200 people from the Chicago area and included a private reception and tour of the exhibit.
