Margaret C. Taylor is a certified nurse midwife, who for the past 32 years has been helping Memphis women deliver healthy babies. Having seen the tragedy of women who were young, poor, and alone deliver sick or dying infants, Taylor started a unique program at Christ Community Health Services called Centering Pregnancy. The program offers the resources and assistance needed for motherhood. Pregnant women come together for prenatal visits where Margaret provides guidance, knowledge, and hope. The women learn self-care techniques, eat nutritious snacks, and share their lives with each other.
